Billing Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX - Hybrid

Salary: $84,000.00 - $97,000.00

We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager to oversee and direct a corporate billing team consisting of two Senior Billing Leads and six indirect team members. This role combines managerial and administrative responsibilities, with a focus on corporate billing and project management within the Finance department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diverse billing models, including Time & Labor, Project Cost Accounting/WIP, Percentage of Completion (POC), and Flat Rate billing.

Billing Manager Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects from setup to close, ensuring timely delivery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to track project updates and maintain schedules.
• Standardization: Implement and uphold project management methods, standards, and procedures.
• Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is accurate and adheres to required frameworks.
• Communication: Liaise effectively with Admins and Project Managers to gather project details.
• Billing Updates: Update advanced billing terms as necessary and process split proposals.
• Reporting: Run basic reports to extract and analyze key project data.
• Issue Resolution: Resolve project setup issues and manage project status (activation/inactivation).
• Quality Control: Proactively query and verify data accuracy.
• Revisions: Process revised ASRs and proposals as needed.
• Problem-Solving: Apply critical thinking to identify and resolve challenges efficiently.
  
  

Billing Manager Qualifications

• Experience:
• 4 years of related experience in AIA Billing, POC, and Project Accounting/WIP.
• 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction projects, contracts, billing rates, terms, and agreements.
• Skills:
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Deltek software is highly preferred.
