About The Role
As a Construction Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of various construction projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, with specific experience in the construction industry.
Construction Accountant's Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for multiple construction projects.
- Manage and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for ongoing projects as a Construction Accountant.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to track costs, revenue, and profitability.
- Perform job cost accounting and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support audit preparation and ensure timely filing of required reports.
- Provide financial analysis to assist in decision-making and improve financial performance.
- Proven experience as a Construction Accountant or in a similar accounting role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction job cost accounting, financial reporting, and contract management.
