- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- General ledger
- Manage preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy
- Compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for end-of-year tax filings
- Sales and use tax calculations and filings and payroll tax oversight (FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and other applicable taxes)
- Ensure proper application of tax codes (e.g., sales tax exemptions, use tax)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role with a strong background in:
- Accounting
- Tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes; sales tax, payroll tax
