Controller

Working Model: In-Office, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Location: Near College Station, TX

Compensation: up to $150,000 - depending on experience

The Controller is responsible for overseeing and reporting on the company’s financial activities, including accounting, financial forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, and regulatory compliance. This role also manages the office staff and reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Impact – Assess short- and long-term financial objectives set by ownership and management, providing recommendations to enhance financial performance.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis – Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial statements, P&L, budgets, and key financial trends. Prepare and present KPI scorecard reports for weekly EOS meetings.
• Budget & Cost Management – Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive job cost system to optimize financial efficiency.
• Cash & Account Management – Monitor and report cash position weekly, reconcile account registers, and oversee all aspects of accounting.
• Inventory & Sales Reporting – Conduct monthly inventory reviews, adjust electronic records, and analyze sales figures for performance comparisons and commission calculations.
• Compliance & Audit Oversight – Establish and maintain financial and HR compliance controls, prepare quarterly financial statements, and lead annual financial audits.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
• 5 years of experience in financial leadership roles.
• Proven ability to communicate financial data across all levels of an organization, including staff management.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
