Overview

Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) is proud to partner with a respected, privately held manufacturing company in the Smyrna area to recruit a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance. This role is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial planning, reporting, and operational accounting functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing finance and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and month-end close
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
• Monitor and improve cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production cost controls
• Develop and enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
• Partner with executive leadership to align financial strategies with operational goals
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA, CPA or CMA preferred)
• 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills
• Deep understanding of cost accounting and inventory management in a production environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent)
• Proven leadership ability and strong communication skills
