The Director will oversee core areas including accounting, treasury, accounts payable, financial reporting, Medicare cost reporting, reimbursement, and grants accounting—while acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day financial operations including accounting, AP, treasury, audits, cost reporting, and financial statement preparation
- Create and implement strategic plans and KPIs to monitor and improve financial performance
- Guide internal controls, compliance initiatives, and audit readiness for external and regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with internal leaders to provide accurate, timely financial reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain oversight of banking relationships, debt compliance, profitability analysis, and cash flow strategy
- Oversee Medicare cost reporting, reimbursement procedures, and low-income pool reporting
- Supervise finance staff and foster a high-performance, accountable team culture
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and policy enhancements across finance operations
- Report to the SVP of Finance, and maintain open communication with the CFO and executive leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with 3 years in a leadership capacity
- CPA license preferred (active and in good standing in Florida)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial reporting tools
- Experience in healthcare finance is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and cost reporting processes is a plus
Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
