Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and process hourly and salaried payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a key liaison in union relations, assisting with contract negotiations, grievances, and employee relations.
- Partner with benefit brokers to manage employee benefits, including enrollment and compliance.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support a productive work environment.
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Work closely with management to develop staffing strategies and improve workforce planning.
- Lead recruitment efforts for key positions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and HR compliance regulations.
- Experience working with unions and handling labor relations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively bridge gaps between employees, staff, and union representatives.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are a plus.
