Salary: $110,000-$140,000

The Front-End JavaScript/PHP Developer is responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining systems related to Ecommerce websites. The developer is primarily responsible for user interface design and application configuration on the hosting platform, making system modifications in response to business needs and system exceptions. This position involves working with internal and external developers, business analysts, subject matter experts, and customers throughout the software development life cycle, including business requirement analysis, technical specification writing, development, defect resolution, deployment, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex enhancements following software standards and conventions for B2B websites.
• Review system architecture and recommend updates for maintaining supported infrastructure.
• Collaborate with external resources on complex ecommerce site changes.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure QA processes are followed.
• Perform technical design and unit testing for system modifications.
• Ensure data accuracy in migration, conversion, and loading processes while adhering to data governance standards.
• Maintain system stability during and outside regular business hours.
• Work closely with business analysts to complete design documentation.
• Participate in code deployment and optimize the code migration process.
• Review and deploy third-party hotfixes and upgrades.
• Recommend and implement best practices and process improvements.
• Work alongside ERP, IT operations, and other teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
  
  

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years programming experience in a business setting.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and JSON.
• Experience in front-end web development and user experience.
• Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS and ReactJS.
• Experience with Laravel PHP and related services like Forge and Vapor.
• Strong experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
• Development experience using PHPStorm IDE.
• Database development experience with MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in source control/version control using GitHub.
• Familiarity with development best practices, code review, and quality review processes.
• Experience in API development for external consumption.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience with RPGsp.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce, and WordPress.
• Familiarity with third-party service integrations, including Algolia, payment gateways, Tailwind, Bugsnag, Google Analytics, and VWO.
• Experience with .NET frameworks (C#, VB.NET).
• Knowledge of regular expressions.
• Experience in setting up and managing Azure services.
• Strong experience integrating with ERP systems and ecommerce platforms.
• Experience with additional version control systems such as Team Foundation Server and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with various project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
