Key Responsibilities For Plant Controller
- Analyze monthly financial statements for the facility, including the preparation of standard schedules and KPI reports.
- Prepare and explain monthly financial information on both a departmental and consolidated basis for plant management.
- Support analysis and provide commentary on variance drivers (current vs. prior, forecast, and budget).
- Prepare and post recurring general ledger journal entries as part of the monthly close process.
- Coordinate and oversee month-end physical inventory counts and assist in updating inventory standards.
- Complete month-end close procedures, including reviewing general ledger accounts and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and prepare the facility’s annual budget.
- Support plant management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist in coordinating the year-end audit with external accountants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing finance role, with plant controllership experience preferred.
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, financial analysis, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
