What You’ll Do
- Manage Property Financials: Oversee all aspects of accounting for a diverse portfolio of properties, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use.
- General Ledger: Handle the general ledger for property-related transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Reconcile Accounts: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of tenant accounts, landlord accounts, and property-specific general ledgers.
- Lease & Rent Roll Analysis: Manage rent rolls, ensure accurate lease accounting, and assist with monthly rent calculations and payments.
- Month-End Close: Lead month-end close processes for property accounts, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed property-specific financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
- Tax & Compliance: Assist in ensuring tax compliance for properties and collaborate with auditors during year-end audits.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or related industries.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with property management systems (Yardi, AppFolio, etc.) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage complex accounts with precision.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with property managers, tenants, and vendors.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze financials, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
