Location: Seattle/Georgetown Area | On-site

Salary Range 93,600-110,240 DOE

A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization while leveraging your accounting expertise.

Overview Of The Senior Accountant Role

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Managing cash handling and cash receipts.
• Supervising accounts payable processes and overseeing cash management activities.
• Leading month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring adherence to nonprofit GAAP accounting standards.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications For The Senior Accountant

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). CPA certification is a plus.
• 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with MIP Fund Accounting (preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
