Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant
- Lead complex reconciliations of operating and payroll bank accounts to the general ledger
- Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Prepare and maintain detailed financial schedules and Excel spreadsheets for audits and inquiries
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for decision-making
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and systems
- Assist with payroll
- Manage fixed assets
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional Excel skills (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas)
- CPA a plus
- Public accounting a plus
- In-office in North Canton, Ohio
- Pay range: $75,000 to $90,000
