- Supports the Finance Director in accounting tasks, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, and reconciliations.
- Review of accounts payable/accounts receivable/billing team transactions for accuracy and compliance.
- Contributes to financial reporting for monthly Board report.
- Assists in the annual audit process, providing documentation to external auditors, preparing work papers, year-end entries, financial statements, and GAAP adjustments.
- Handles fixed assets, inventory, cash, and sub-ledger account reporting.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as related to government accounting standards.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong mathematical and financial analysis skills.
- Five years of progressively responsible accounting experience and experience reviewing accounting transactions.
- Experience with fund accounting preferred.
