This role provides analytical and operational support within the Finance Department, assisting senior accounting and finance leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting analysis, regulatory reporting, and financial operations within the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly earnings releases, earnings supplements, and presentations.
- Support the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks).
- Conduct financial analysis to document, refine, and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to management, including ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable accounting and banking regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Step in for various department functions as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting analysis, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong technical skills, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with SOX controls, SEC reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
