- CFS of New York is working with a prominent non-profit organization seeking a VP of Finance to join their growing team
- The organization has been around for close to 20 years, a little over $7M in funding and offer after school/summer programs for children who come from a challenging home environment
- The organization also helps children who suffer from mental/emotional abuse
- They received funding from various revenue streams including : government grants, private donations, foundations, endowments, etc
- Our client is open to a candidate who is looking to step into a more strategic role

- This role is hybrid and can sit in either of their locations in Brooklyn or the Bronx
- This position will be reporting to the Executive Director and will manage a staff of three
- Overseeing accounting department, ensuring all timelines are met and providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure timely and complete reconciliations, provide suggestions for improvement in this area
- Manage audit process
- Manage grants and funding sources, prepare financial reports as needed
- Assistant in strategic financial planning
- Account for and allocate funding from multiple sources
- 5 years of experience working in the nonprofit industry
- Bachelors degree
- Managerial experience is a plus
