About the Chief Operating Officer Role

CFS Indianapolis is working with a great client in the construction space looking to add a new Chief Operating Officer to their team. This role will work directly with the CEO, CFO, CAO to handle all high level business operations. CFS has partnered with this client continuously throughout the years and it has proven to be an excellent team and business.

Job Responsibilities for the Chief Operating Officer Role :

  • Build and mentor teams across 3 divisions and 5 locations, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Oversee and drive day-to-day operations, ensuring processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with company goals.
  • Directly manage and support 4 division leaders, providing guidance and aligning their efforts with the broader organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of the annual budget and capital expenditure plans, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with the CEO and divisional leaders to define and implement strategic goals, identify growth opportunities, and navigate challenges.
  • Visit Indiana, Tennessee, and Missouri locations a few times per quarter to maintain strong relationships and gain on-the-ground insights.

    • Qualifications of the Chief Operating Officer Role :

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field required, MBA Preferred
  • 10 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of executive leadership collaboration and team management
  • Experience within the construction industry required
  • Ability to handle multiple divisional tasks and relationships while providing strategic insight into business operational goals
  • Strong attention to detail
