Director of Quality
Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in Holland to find a skilled Director of Quality. This company is known for delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for the automotive industry and prioritizes excellence through robust quality systems, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will oversee and drive the effectiveness of the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with TS16949 standards and customer-specific requirements while maintaining exceptional quality across all products and processes. They will lead a talented team and collaborate with multiple departments to meet business objectives and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop the Quality team, fostering a high-performance environment, including Quality Technicians, Engineers, and Sort/Audit personnel.
- Strategic Vision: Review company processes at a Macro-level to influence the strategic plan and offer exceptional quality results.
- Customer Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives across all quality processes, promoting Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving techniques, and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Sales, and other departments to address quality challenges and improve product quality.
- Material Review & Nonconforming Product: Lead the Material Review Board and resolve nonconforming materials to ensure products meet customer requirements.
- External Customer Engagement: Visit customers to understand their quality expectations and share relevant insights with internal teams.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the VP of Manufacturing.
Requirements:
- Education: 4-year technical degree (or equivalent experience)
- Training & Certifications: Familiarity with MS Office suite, Project Management tools, Lean Manufacturing, and quality problem-solving methods. ASQC certification is a plus. Experience with Plex UX is a bonus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a quality leadership role, with automotive industry experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with quality management systems and customer-focused quality assurance is essential.
