**Job Opportunity:**
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our client's team. As a critical member of the finance department, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and reliable financial data, analyzing financial results, and providing support for various financial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and analyzing financial data
- Assist with preparation of analyses, estimates, and journal entries for month-end close processes
- Review trial balance detail to ensure accuracy of GL accounts for posted transactions and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, accruals, fixed assets, and other accounts
- Assist with analyzing and reporting costs and inventory variances, and work with appropriate department members to achieve understanding and resolution
- Interact with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and consolidations
- Assist with margin and profitability metrics analysis
- Fulfill the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position
Requirements:
- 2-3 years in accounting/finance
- Manufacturing experience, understanding of inventory and cost accounting
- Understanding of internal controls and audit procedures
- Must be able to think outside the box for problem resolution, while at the same time adhering to accounting practices and internal controls
- General ledger and reconciliation experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ERP systems
