Key Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will coordinate with our Warehouse Manager to schedule outbound freight carrier pickups for frozen and fresh perishable goods.
- Negotiate rates and services with major cross-divisional carriers to ensure the best possible solutions for our business.
- Identify and engage carriers that uphold food safety and quality standards, ensuring the highest level of product safety.
- Utilize ERP, WMS, and TMS software to manage orders and scheduling, streamlining our logistics operations.
- Adhere to, implement, and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company food safety policies to maintain the highest level of product safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in freight coordination or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is highly desirable.
