We are looking for a seasoned Network Engineer with 6 years of experience to support 7 facilities and 3 satellite offices. This role involves close collaboration with Systems Engineers and aims to move away from Cisco systems.

Role: Includes, but is not limited to
- Support Multiple Facilities: Oversee network operations for 7 facilities and 3 satellite offices, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.
- Research and Recommend Solutions: Analyze current network infrastructure, research, and recommend a suite of network solutions to move away from Cisco systems.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers: Work closely with Systems Engineers to integrate network solutions with overall IT strategy.
- Network Duties: Design and maintain all networks including on-prem, cloud and virtual networks. Cover all forms of traffic including VLANs, DHCP, DNS and routing between each. Handle VOIP support and infrastructure. Administer remote access. Assist with new installs or remodels of network cabling, Wi-Fi locations or switching structures
- Occasional Travel: Travel overnight occasionally within the first year to different facilities for on-site support and implementation.
What We re Looking For:
Requirements:
- Network Engineering Expertise: 5 years of experience in network engineering with a strong track record of supporting multiple facilities.
- Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to research, analyze, design and recommend network solutions.
- Cisco Migration Experience: Experience in transitioning from Cisco systems to alternative network solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and infrastructure.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with all audiences, from technical teams to business stakeholders.
- Collaborative Spirit: Personable and able to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Related Field
- Exp. in Manufacturing Environment Tech Needs: Familiarity with network needs in a manufacturing environment: on-prem network is Cisco Catalyst, including Meraki, Azure cloud network, plus virtual networks, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPSs, remote access, backups, disaster recovery, remote access, VoIP infrastructure/routing support, etc.
- Experience in Large Organizations: Experience working as a network engineer within a company with over 1500 employees.
- Project Management Skills: Experience managing network projects from conception to implementation.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
