Summary
Creative Kids Adventures is looking for a qualified individual to run the after-school program at one of our Hartford programs, serving children in K-5. We are looking for an energetic, fun, responsible person to lead our program and fulfill our mission of providing a fun and engaging place for children to enjoy after school with a focus on nature exploration and child led activities.
Duties
This person would be responsible for the overall operations of the after-school program, including providing a variety of activities that are age appropriate and based on the interests of the children enrolled, working with and supervising other staff members within the team, communicating with parents and school officials and working with the Owner and Executive Director to always fulfill the mission and goals set forth for the program.
Additional duties include :
- Daily attendance
- creating and serving snacks
- providing a weekly curriculum of planned and spontaneous activities
- Coordinating with school officials for special events or for students as needed
- Light cleaning tasks
- Regularly communicating with families and Owner
- Meeting training requirements per licensing regulations for the position (about 12 hours annually)
- Supervise other staff in a team like manner
Requirements
The Afterschool Site Director for an Afterschool Child Care Program shall meet or exceed the following qualifications : be at least eighteen years of age, possess a BA, BS or Associate’s degree, and have one of the following :
