Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Floater/ Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Support students' learning by providing individualized attention and guidance
- Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Help prepare materials and resources for daily activities and lessons
- Supervise students during playtime, meals, and outdoor activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
- Meet state requirements (Background check, CPR & First Aid, etc)
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with young children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to educate and engage students through creative teaching methods
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education
- Basic math skills to support students' learning in numeracy
