What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Assistant Teacher position at Creative Learning Center?
Montessori Assistant Teacher beginning April 4th M-F 8:00-1:00 ($24 per hour)
More hours throughout the school year are available if desired.
Our teacher-child ratios are low, and we pride ourselves on creating a happy, thriving environment for both the children and teachers.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Support students in their learning journey, providing guidance and assistance as needed
- Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
- Assist with behavior management and student supervision
-Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or students is preferred (we can also train for the right candidate)
- Knowledge of childcare practices and early childhood education principles
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience in behavior management techniques is a plus
- A background in literacy education would be beneficial
