Location: Travel within Riverside County, California, and San Diego County, California the surrounding areas. We have a large southern California presence.
POSITION OVERVIEW – WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Perform regular lighting and electrical inspections of contracted customer locations.
- Perform maintenance on all types of indoor and outdoor lights at commercial, industrial, retail and HOA locations.
- Ensure proper functioning and safety of all lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues as needed.
- Manage service upgrades for new and existing clients.
- Drive Boom trucks safely to and from customer locations.
- Operate boom lifts safely and efficiently for parking lot lights and other lighting maintenance tasks as required.
- Notify management of inventory of equipment and materials to maintain appropriate basic lighting and electrical gear needed for daily maintenance tasks.
- Inspect assigned truck daily and notify management of damage or maintenance issues.
- Complete all assigned tasks within the given timeframes.
- Interface with customers on equipment, materials, services, and appointments.
- Log appointment statuses using company app including dispatch, arrivals, notes, tags, photos, documents, and work completion.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols according to DOT and OSHA regulations.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
- A current California non-residential lighting technician certification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components and electrical hand tools.
- Knowledge of HID, compact fluorescent, LED, Linear fluorescent, HPS, high pressure sodium and LPS Lights.
- Knowledge of voltages up to 480 Volts.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and digital timeclocks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lighting repair technician.
- Certification to operate both boom trucks and boom lifts is an added bonus, but we can provide certification if necessary.
- Valid Class C CDL Driver’s license. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with air brake endorsement is a plus
- Have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test.
- Must have clean background check
- Read, speak. and write proper English.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move moderately heavy objects, 50 lbs. on average
- Standing, stooping, walking frequently
- Sitting for long periods while driving company trucks
- Company uniform and PPE required
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts at various Heights
POSTION PAY AND HOURS EXPECTED
This is a full-time position that requires M – F with occasional weekend, overtime, and holiday work. We can accommodate reasonable shift requests.
Pay Range: $22 - $29 Hourly, non- exempt. Starting pay ranges vary based upon qualifications, experience and licensing.
