- Manufacturing Engineer optimizes and improves production processes in plastic injection molding, ensuring efficiency and quality
- This role involves project management, vendor coordination, cost estimation, process validation, and equipment design while maintaining safety and productivity standards
- Develops, evaluates, and improves secondary operations methods
- Assists in preparing quotes for secondary operations
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
- Manage projects within budget and maintain delivery dates
- Supports production requirements as needed
- Develop process verification and/or validation for the assembly and inspection of products
- Regularly uses hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, tools, and equipment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits
- Conduct in-process and post-production defect analysis for surface defects, sink marks, short shots, and warping, implementing corrective actions
- Manufacturing Process Optimization & Automation
- Yield Improvement: Analyze production processes to enhance yield, reduce scrap, and improve efficiency
- Troubleshooting for current equipment or process problems, and continuously develop or improve injection mold processes to achieve high-quality parts with the desired throughput.
