Summary: The selected candidate will be responsible for successful cost estimating, design, implementation, launch, and continuous improvement for all assigned manufacturing equipment and processes that produce the company’s products. Determines and develops approaches to assignments. Leads or is key in development and/ or design projects requiring coordination with other functions. Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
Primary Responsibilities:

Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs Cost Estimating & Sales Feasibility
- Research & development of new technologies, materials, and capital equipment
- Tooling and fixture design
- Tooling validation including adherence to company standards, mold flow analysis & tool shop approvals.
- Tooling PM strategy & establish requirements for each new tool
- New mold start up and validation of first shots
- Program/Project management responsibilities as assigned
- Manage tool room employees and activities with defined metrics and strategic initiatives.
- Process support & troubleshooting
- Select vendors for equipment and production materials.
- Develop and issue criteria to vendors for items supplied.
- Identifies and develops new technical ideas. Evaluate them again requirements, quality, timeline and cost
- Considers customer needs and trends for projects and activities
- Incorporates business, market, industry and competitive knowledge into technical solutions
- Perform Design Verification testing to support engineering changes to products
- Determines required tasks and completes on time with no supervision
- Identifies and communicates potential risks with appropriate mitigations
- Addresses routine technical problems by leading a team to brainstorm solutions
- Supports other engineers as required
- Participate in the planning of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA/IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and comply.
- Ensure compliance with all local, State, and Federal laws and statutes and other governmental regulations, which are directly applicable to the company.
- Establish area goals to support strategic initiatives.
- Support IATF initiatives as applicable.
- Coordinate safety efforts with Safety Administrator.
- Keep abreast of materials related to the Company's needs, through trade publications, papers, seminars, and classes.

- Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field from a credited college, university or technical school.
- Experience: 3-5 years related experience and/or training in engineering or manufacturing.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD viewing software
