GENERAL
Title: CMCP Teacher
Reports to: Preschool Director
Supervises: Students in either K3 or K4 Classrooms
Evaluations: Performance will be evaluated no less than annually by the Preschool Director and Administrator in accordance with this job description.
Mission
Together with all team and staff members, the teacher will share the love of Jesus while nurturing the whole child within a strong academic learning environment with an emphasis on creative arts.
Qualifications
- A love and passion for children, education and Jesus.
- Experience in the care and development of children ages 3 - 5 years old.
- Superior communication skills, including proper usage of grammar.
- The physical abilities required to properly care for children ages 3 -5 years old.
Positional Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong passion to uphold the Vision, Mission, Educational Objectives, Statement of Faith, and Core Values of Creative Minds Christian Preschool.
- Possess the ability to work gracefully with parents, students, and other school staff to develop a unified and successful educational program.
- Assess and evaluate students regularly in order to measure milestones for the student.
- Willingness to partner with fellow teachers in lesson planning, classroom schedules, and the classroom environment.
- Willingness to participate in the required training and classes.
- Motivate and lead students to accept God's gift of salvation, help them grow in their faith, and guide them to a realization of their worth in Christ.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom.
- Plan through approved channels the balanced classroom use of guest speakers and other media.
- Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student's progress.
- Attend and participate in scheduled devotional, in-service, retreats, committees, faculty, and parent meetings.
- Know and rehearse procedures for dealing with emergency situations.
- Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher.
- Honor the confidentiality of school, student, and family information.
