What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Provider position at Creative Minds LDC?
Creative Minds serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our center is open Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 6:00pm.
A Teacher should be a fun and enthusiastic educator who enjoys teaching and working with children. The Teacher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Communication and People Skills: Childcare workers spend most of their day with children, and will need to tell stories, ask and answer questions, as well as report back to parents and understand any instructions given to you.
- Instructional Skills: Childcare workers need to be able to explain instructions clearly and in a way, kids can understand.
- Patience: Being patient will help you when tense situations arise.
- Stamina: Kids are bundles of energy, and nannies need the energy to match. Carrying children, diaper bags, etc. require strength
Duties:
- Organize and maintain the classroom
- Ensuring the safety of children through constant supervision
- Maintaining written records designed to evaluate each child
- Communicating regularly with parents and demonstrating effective interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff
- Maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience babysitting or working with children amounting to 2,500 hours.
