Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Architectural Designer with a passion for modular construction to join our team. The Junior Architectural Designer will work closely with senior staff members to support various stages of modular design projects, from conceptualization and schematic design to construction documents. Key Responsibilities:
· Assist lead architects in developing modular design concepts and presentations, leveraging creativity and innovation to optimize modular solutions.
· Prepare drawings, renderings, and other visualizations to communicate modular design ideas with clarity and integrity.
· Conduct research on modular materials, building systems, and construction techniques, with a commitment to excellence and innovation in modular design.
· Assist in the production of modular construction documents with attention to detail and accuracy, supporting the seamless integration of modular components.
· Coordinate with modular manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors in a respectful and inclusive manner to integrate their input into the modular design process.
· Participate in modular project meetings with a synergistic approach, contributing ideas and solutions that uphold our core values.
· Assist in the review of modular shop drawings, submittals, and other project documentation, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
· Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and compliance with regulations.
· Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
· 1-3 years of experience in an architectural firm or related field, with exposure to modular construction preferred.
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Inventor, SketchUp, and other design software preferred, with a willingness to learn modular design platforms.
· Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices, with an interest in modular construction principles.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Strong organization and teamwork skills, demonstrating respect for colleagues and collaborators in the modular construction ecosystem.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a sense of ownership and accountability.
