Procurement Specialist
11 month contract - onsite in San Francisco Bay Area
Pay $35 / hr.
Our hiring partner, a global B2B cloud storage solution, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to help scale and optimize their procurement operations.
As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, legal, and finance teams to support operational procurement and travel / expense functions, driving automation and efficiency in a high-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operational Procurement (90%)
Ticket Management : Efficiently triage and resolve requests, issues, and escalations, ensuring SLA compliance and accuracy in ticket documentation.
Purchasing : Manage end-to-end procurement tasks, low dollar deals, including NDAs, RFPs, TPRAs, and contract negotiations, PR-PO Cycle, chasing approvals ensuring seamless execution.
Supplier Onboarding : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate supplier onboarding, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
P-Card Payments & Expense Audits : Review and reconcile P-card requests, audit expenses, and manage credit card maintenance, ensuring compliance and financial accuracy.
Employee Onboarding / Exits : Support procurement, travel, and expense processes during employee transitions, ensuring policy adherence.
Procurement Transformation projects (10%)
Automation Implementation : Identify opportunities to introduce automated tools and systems in procurement processes.
Analytics & Reporting : Maintain comprehensive reporting to monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and drive data-driven decisions.
Project Management : Prioritize and manage concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualification Requirements
1-3 years of procurement or analytical work experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability thrive in fast paced environment
Skills :
Procurement Operations Expertise : Proven track record in procurement operations with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion / Cloud.
Contract Administration : Experience in contract review and approval, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Data Analysis : Proficiency in data analysis, with experience in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Alteryx.
Communication & Collaboration : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
Adaptability and Agility : Ability to learn and take on additional responsibilities as the procurement team grows, agility to switch tasks according priorities.
Nice to Haves :
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and expense tools (e.g., Concur), Alteryx, Tableau.
Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive learning attitude
Experience in T&E, expense reports, expense audits
