Visual Communications Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Communications Designer with 5 years of experience to join our team. This full-time role focuses on visual communication design, supporting our internal design needs, concept development, and portfolio services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in visual design, show initiative and self- motivation, and be excited to work across a variety of projects and companies.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a Cohesive and Elevated Brand Presence Across All Touchpoints
- Event Production: Develop high-quality design assets for internal and external events, oversee production processes, and collaborate closely with the Communications and Culture teams to ensure alignment and impact
- Presentation Design: Craft visually compelling and professional presentations using tools such as Figma and Google Slides, tailored to engage diverse audiences.
- Brand and Marketing Assets: Support the maintenance and enhancement of our digital presence, including the website, LinkedIn, and other brand platforms.
Support the Concept Development process by visualizing early concepts and ideas
- Sacrificial Brand Design: Develop exploratory brand concepts.
- Sacrificial Landing Page Design: Create high-level designs for experimental landing pages using Webflow, or other platforms
- Presentation Design: Collaborate on presentation decks tailored to CEOs and potential investors
Collaborate with our Portfolio Companies to execute on early design needs
- Presentation Design: Design impactful decks for fundraising and other portfolio-related needs.
- "Set-Up" Design: Manage administrative design needs such as business cards, stationery, and PowerPoint templates.
- Event Design: Create assets for conference booths, swag, and related materials.
- Ad Hoc Design: Support marketing collateral such as Instagram/social media graphics and other promotional materials.
Key Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in visual communications design or a related field.
- Expertise in creating polished presentation designs (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Figma etc.).
- Experience designing landing pages or mockups for landing pages.
- Strong skills in brand development and marketing collateral design.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
- Ability to translate abstract concepts into clear, compelling visuals.
- Excellent time management skills and comfort managing multiple priorities.
- Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience in event production and design for conferences or similar events.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with website design and content management platforms.
- Background in working with startups or high-growth companies is a plus.
- Interest in or experience in working at an investment fund.
