Job description
Job Title: Equipment Operator 1
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Shift/Hours: M-F; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST
Location: In Warehouse
Pay Range: $16.00 - 19.00 per hour, DOE
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Equipment Operator 1 performs a range of duties including but not limited to the following:
- Initial daily set up/inspection, end of day procedure, and/or calibration of extrusion machine as needed
- Oversee Extruder operation throughout shift
- Assists with the manufacture of company products
- Works closely with other warehouse staff to meet production targets
- Participate in safety training and initiatives as needed
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs as needed
- Adhere closely to company procedures and safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- 1-2 years of previous machine operation experience
- Effective communicator, both written and verbally; understand basic English
- Ability to meet production goals/deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks or projects
- Shows initiative and looks for ways to improve the organization or create new opportunities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to work efficiently individually and as part of a team
- Ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand in a stationary position for long periods; occasionally move around the office and reach into cabinets, drawers, etc.; ability to lift to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions: Warehouse environment with fluorescent lighting, regular interruptions, and an increased noise level.
