Job Description

The Medicaid Enrollment Associate is a crucial member of the Creative Senior Planning Team. The Associate will support their assigned Medicaid Planning Advisor(s) to ensure that all long-term care and assisted living residents’ Medicaid applications are completed accurately, submitted timely and processed through completion with the Department of Human Services.

Duties

Support the Advisor as they screen referred residents living in long term care or assisted living facilities for eligibility for entitlement programs and assist residents and family members in completing the necessary applications to obtain the resources.
Work with the Advisor, resident and family members in the gathering and submission of all necessary documentation to complete the Medicaid Enrollment Application. Ensure forms are fully completed and submitted in a timely manner and information is accurately entered into the application system.
Collaboratively with the Advisor, the Associate will coordinate the application follow-through and communication with the Department of Human Services to ensure timely review and potential approval.
Track and support as necessary the annual renewal process for individuals who have completed the Medicaid process through Creative Senior Planning.

Skills

Prior experience in data collection, information management or other related systems.

The ideal candidate has experience in Medicaid (Title 19) or other state / federal entitlement programs.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in long-term care, assisted living or skilled nursing care.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally, face-to-face, over the phone and in writing.

A valid Driver’s License and auto insurance with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge of basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite)

Ability to work closely and effectively as a team player with all internal staff, assigned facility staff, residents and their family members.

Keep up to date on any changes regarding Medicaid applications.

Possess a strong desire to carry out and promote the mission and vision of Creative Senior Planning.

A college degree is preferred but not required.
