Homemaker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Homemaker to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.

Duties:
- Provide assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Perform light housekeeping duties including meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living spaces
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and overall well-being
- Assist with mobility needs and transfers as required
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality

Skills:
- Experience in patient care and caregiving
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols
- Proficiency in using systems for documentation and communication
- First aid certification with the ability to respond to emergencies promptly
- Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and recognizing abnormalities
- Specialized training in dementia care is a plus
- Ability to provide childcare if needed
- Capable of heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
- Understanding of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and their importance in client care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
