Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High school Math tutor (Algebra 1) for a student in Elk Grove. Late afternoon tutoring hours required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, helping students with Math support. A kind, caring, engaging tutor is desired for students.

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in the Student's home. Weekday hours required.
No Online only tutors needed.
- Tutor/teacher experience, working with middle and high school students
- Skilled tutoring using the student's own curriculum and real time assignments.
- Ability to simplify concepts, and help build better study habits and organizational skills.
- Help to improve students’ academic performance and achieve their learning goals.
- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding course materials.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with students; teaching, tutoring, mentoring.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain goals and concepts clearly.
- Simplify concepts and be adaptable for different learning styles.
- Basic technical skills for writing student progress/session notes in our tutor portal.
