What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist - Full time position at Creative Speech Solutions?
Creative Speech Solutions, LLC is hiring part time or full time experienced SCHOOL BASED speech-language pathologists to join our growing team. We are a pediatric therapy center with offices located in Summit and Montclair, NJ and also hold school contracts in various districts.
Speech-language pathologists at Creative Speech Solutions (CSS) specialize in treating children with a wide variety of diagnoses and level of functioning. The duties of this position include providing evaluations and direct therapy for the pediatric population in school-based settings.In addition to direct treatment, responsibilities may also include evaluations, testing, report writing, treatment collaboration, case management, IEP development and adherence to all NJ state special education laws.
The positions that are open at this time are as follows:
~ 3 days per week in a special needs high school with students with learning differences (Passaic County).
~3 to 5 days per week in a general education elementary school (Essex County).
~ 1-2 days per week as a district wide Preschool Evaluation team member (Union County).
Candidates interested in this SLP role at CSS are required to have the following:
- Master’s degree from an accredited speech therapy program
- NJ State License, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), NJ School Certificate (SLS) and Criminal History Review (CHR-which includes fingerprinting with the state of NJ)
- Minimum of two years of work experience in a school setting
- Experience provide therapeutic services for children with delays or disorders in the areas of: phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, sight word recognition, vocabulary development, morphology, comprehension, expressive written language skills in the areas of syntax, sentence and paragraph development and expansion for all grade levels.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a strong desire to work with children with developmental disabilities
- Patience, persistence and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
