Description : Job Summary :
The Food Safety and Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership and execution of all food safety and quality activities at the facility and client level. This role ensures that the facility remains compliant to regulatory, food safety standards and company policies. The Food Safety Quality (FSQ) Manager is also responsible for direct and indirect supervision and development of plant level FSQ team members. This individual will also collaborates with other plant functional leaders and client partners to enhance process controls to reduce or eliminate food safety and quality risks and continuously improve quality excellence in service of creative werks customers.
Responsibilities of the Position :
- Accountable for compliance to all food safety and quality programs, including GMP, Food Safety Plans (FSP), Food Quality Plans (FQP)
- Accountable for prerequisite program management, including traceability, control of non-conforming materials, customer complaint management, client audits and client food safety alignment, allergen controls, environmental monitoring program, corrective and preventive actions, and verification and validation programs
- Serve as site Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and SQF practitioner
- Support 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits, regulatory inspections and act as quality liaison for customer visits
- Lead continuous improvement of departmental and facility SOPs, along with sanitation compliance programs
- Monitor and provide reporting on FSQ KPIs and metrics. Lead continuous improvement initiatives based off these metrics
- Conduct or lead risk assessments required for process changes, product disposition or food safety events
- Responsible for facility FSQ operating budgets
- Provide performance evaluations, training, coaching, discipline, recognition and leadership to Quality Assurance team members as appropriate

- Establish a regular cadence and conduct check-ins across 1st – 3rd shift supervisors

The approved annualized base compensation range for this role is established at $90,000 - $130,000. Final offer amounts will be determined based on candidate skills, qualifications, experience and domain expertise.
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
