This individual will aid in creating packaging concepts from ideation, validation to commercialization, developing visual renderings with placeholder graphics and designing packaging formats for retail. This role will also support collaboration with cross-functional teams to fulfill internal and external packaging requests, as well as helping to drive strategic innovation internally.Responsibilities of the Position : Design and develop conceptual packaging formats within the snacks and confections industry that fulfill a specific occasion and need for the consumerCreate placeholder graphics utilizing client assets or new creations for outbound pitch opportunities primarily for tradeshows, conferences, prospect pitches, and / or in-house supportLead communication with packaging suppliers for primary and secondary packaging to obtain, file, and organize packaging quotesHelp conduct market research at retail outlets collecting and scanning data to present to clientsAssist with the preparation and organization of technical data and die linesMake revisions and suggestions to size, shape and arrangement of parts to create a feasible and cost-effective packaging solutionManage safety testing of creative werks' manufactured packagingParticipate and / or lead packaging based brainstorming sessions internally and with clientsSupport Packaging Engineer with continuous improvement initiativesOversee management of mockups, prototypes and sale samples for internal teams and clients, along with in-house 3D printer for internal and external requestsPerform other duties as assigned by managementRequirementsKnowledge / Skills / Abilities : Experienced and knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop)Demonstrated use in 3D CAD software and rendering packages such as Solidworks, ArtiosCAD, Autodesk Fusion or Adobe Substance 3DSound verbal and written and written communication skillsUnderstanding of the co-packing and manufacturing process to design cost effectively and strategicallyFosters a self-starter approach, collaboration, curiosity, problem-solving and solutioning new challengesEducation and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Packaging, Product Design or related discipline with 0-2 years of industry experience; 5 years related industry experience in lieu of degreeWorking Conditions : Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 - 80 degreesThis position requires you to visit a production floor from time to time, in which you will need to follow GMP guidelines and rulesThis position requires the individual to be in the office at least 3 days a week, WFH is acceptable when able up to 2 days a weekPhysical Requirements : Operate standard office equipmentReach with hands and armsLift up to 25 poundsThe approved annualized base compensation range for this role is established at $55,000 - $70,000. Final offer amounts will be determined based on candidate skills, qualifications, experience and domain expertise.
