Overview
The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the educational quality and operational efficiency of the early childhood program. This includes ensuring that all lead teachers are consistently implementing weekly lesson plans, maintaining portfolios, and following the curriculum. The Program Director will also manage parent-teacher conferences, milestone assessments for children, and cultivate strong, communicative relationships with parents. Additionally, this role involves ensuring that safety standards are being maintained across all classrooms. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring staff are trained in program standards, implementing developmentally appropriate content and communicating appropriately with parents and that all state and FOCUS Regulations are being maintained. The Program Director is a key leader in promoting a positive learning environment for children and providing support to staff.
Duties
- Develop and implement curriculum and educational programs that meet the needs of diverse learners in early childhood settings.
- Supervise and support early childhood educators, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding early childhood education programs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for students, staff, and families.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance educational resources and support services for families.
- Monitor student progress and program effectiveness through assessments and evaluations.
- Engage with parents and guardians to promote involvement in their children's education and address any concerns.
- Lead initiatives to promote best practices in early childhood education within the institution.
Skills
