Description Of Responsibilities
Market Position and Business Development: Build and strengthen corporate market position by identifying, developing, defining, and closing Federal business opportunities within the assigned portfolio.
Growth Strategy Implementation: Develop, own, and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the designated domain, aimed at achieving set sales and revenue targets.
Opportunity Pipeline Management: Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, proactively identifying new prospects to meet strategic growth objectives, including competitive and 8(a) sole source targets.
Opportunity Assessment: Employ a broad range of information and resources to qualify opportunities, supporting a detailed bid/no-bid review process.
Relationship Management: Initiate and nurture strategic relationships with new customers and partners while enhancing existing relationships.
Teaming Partner Selection: Qualify and aid in the selection of teaming partners for opportunities, supporting capability statement data calls, past performance evaluations, and technical inputs.
Bid and Proposal Leadership: Lead bid and proposal efforts for the assigned domain; collaborate with the proposal team to craft effective proposal structures and contents, contribute significantly to solution development, and participate in developing and refining win themes.
Operational Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team to identify and develop new business opportunities with existing clients.
Market Research: Lead and support the responses to Federal/DoD market research, sources sought, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Networking and Intelligence Gathering: Actively participate in Industry Days and Pre-proposal conferences to engage in valuable networking and gather intelligence on forecasted opportunities and evolving Government needs.
Travel: Be prepared for 25-35% travel as part of job responsibilities.
Required Degree/Education/Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Required Skills And Experience
Federal Contracting Experience: At least three years’ experience working with a federal contractor in business development, program operations, or bid and proposal management.
Business Development Skills: Minimum of two years’ experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
Strategic Collaborations: Demonstrated experience in developing strategic partnerships and collaborations.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using SharePoint or similar document management systems, along with federal opportunity sourcing tools such as SAM.gov, FedConnect, and Deltek GovWin.
Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Visio, Project).
Analytical Skills: Strong strategic analysis and critical thinking capabilities.
Adaptability: Highly adaptable and agile in fast-paced environments, with excellent multitasking abilities.
Motivation and Teamwork: Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve and a preference for collaborative work environments.
