Cadence is seeking a SVG Software Intern for Summer 2025—an excellent opportunity for a driven student to gain hands-on experience in the cutting-edge world of Electronic Design Automation (EDA).
This internship offers the chance to collaborate with a team of innovative software engineers and technology leaders dedicated to developing high-performance verification solutions for integrated circuits. The SVG team is responsible for advancing tools in simulation (Xcelium), acceleration (Palladium), FPGA prototyping (Protium), and embedded software bring-up (Helium).
Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of software projects, including:
Developing data mining and analysis tools
Implementing machine learning applications
Writing C code
Exploring open-source software
This role provides valuable hands-on experience in software engineering, covering key areas such as requirements definition, project planning, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
Throughout the internship, participants will receive comprehensive training on Cadence’s core products and take part in engaging events with fellow interns. Each intern will be paired with a designated mentor and will present their project outcomes at the end of the program.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Skills And Qualifications
Proficiency in C /C programming
Experience with Python
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Effective communication skills
Basic knowledge of the hardware domain
