The Role: Lead Fullstack Engineer
This role presents the opportunity to lead the development and continuous improvement of Catio’s user-facing platform. It is a hands-on, high-impact position where architectural decision-making, product development, and optimization will be key to delivering a scalable, high-performance user experience.
Significant ownership over the platform will be provided, with responsibilities spanning critical technical and architectural decisions. Collaboration with Catio’s leadership team, customers, and early adopters will be a key part of the role. Responsibilities
Lead fullstack development – Architect and develop an enterprise SaaS application that is highly scalable, responsive, and optimized for performance.
Front-end engineering – Design and maintain a highly intuitive, responsive user interface that enhances user experience and product functionality.
Back-end development – Build and sustain a robust, scalable backend using modern cloud-native technologies and web frameworks.
Product execution – Work closely with leadership, product, and AI teams to define strategy, ship innovative AI and SaaS capabilities, and improve platform performance.
Engineering culture – Contribute to team-building, mentoring, and best practice implementation to foster an outstanding engineering environment.
Code quality and performance – Conduct code and design reviews, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement across development efforts.
Qualifications
4 years of experience in fullstack engineering, demonstrating rapid career growth at leading startups or tech companies.
Proven expertise in developing and scaling sophisticated SaaS platforms, with a preference for experience in enterprise SaaS.
Strong proficiency in modern fullstack technologies, including React, Next.js, GraphQL, and TypeScript, alongside backend systems using Node.js, Python, or similar.
Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, modern design patterns, and challenges faced by architects, particularly in AI-powered decision-making.
Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills, with a commitment to performance, maintainability, and high-quality code.
