What You'll Do
Responsibilities include gathering software requirements from the product team, conducting analysis, and providing estimations. This role involves engaging with business teams to clarify gaps, writing and developing code, and performing unit testing. Regular updates on project status and potential issues are communicated to stakeholders. The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with project and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth hand-offs.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the project manager to contribute to project planning and offering leadership to the engineering team. Expertise will be applied to developing, executing, and improving action plans while mentoring other team members. This position involves working with teams of four to six engineers, including offshore associates. Short- and long-term solutions will be identified, timelines will be established, and feedback will be provided on proposed solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will also participate in design and code reviews and oversee the discovery phase for medium to large projects, developing high-level designs in partnership with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.
Further duties include conducting proof of concept (POC) and prototype development for new technologies, leading the development team in adopting innovative solutions, and ensuring system compliance with legal and regulatory policies. If needed, necessary adjustments will be made to maintain compliance.
Minimum Education And Experience Required
A Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and 2 years of experience in a large-scale enterprise software development environment; OR
A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and 5 years of experience in a large-scale enterprise software development environment.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Experience developing applications and implementing REST APIs using Java 11.
Proficiency in Spring and Spring Boot frameworks for application and API development.
Hands-on experience with Kafka and Service Bus for application data messaging.
Experience utilizing reactive programming for applications and API development.
Familiarity with Cron for scheduling batch jobs for task or file processing.
Knowledge of No-SQL databases for data storage and operations.
Proficiency with JUnit for unit testing and code coverage.
Experience using Sonar for code issue detection and coverage reporting.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse, Splunk, GIT, MapStruct, Log4j, and caching mechanisms.
Experience with cloud technologies for infrastructure and server deployments.
Proficiency in Maven, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for the release process.
The employer will consider candidates with any amount of experience in the required skills.
Compensation
Salary Range: $174,000/year to $234,000/year.
Additional Compensation May Include Annual Or Quarterly Performance Incentives.
Certain positions may also offer Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location and stock equity incentives.
