What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Financial Due Diligence position at Credigy?
We are searching for a talented financial due diligence professional to assist Credigy’s Finance team in assessing the financial condition of new counterparties involved in Credigy's investments, monitoring the financial performance of existing counterparties, assisting in the preparation of financial information, and recommending process improvements. This role will be essential to mitigate counterparty risk in Credigy’s new and existing transactions. In addition, this position gives the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects in the Finance and Accounting functions, providing ample room for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Analysis and Counterparty monitoring:
- Analyze financial statements and other available information of counterparties on a periodic basis as prescribed by Credigy’s policy;
- Monitor publicly available information of counterparties.
- Recommend financial risk to counterparties following Credigy's methodology.
- Affirm or recommend changes to the financial risk level.
- Recommend financial covenants to counterparties where applicable.
- Verify the compliance of counterparties with financial covenants.
Communication and Reporting:
- Summarize and communicate financial requirements in new transactions to other internal departments.
- Communicate trends and findings in financial statements analysis to Senior Management and other internal departments.
- Interact with internal departments to obtain financial information as needed.
- Prepare summary reports for Senior Management.
- Summarize the state of financial health for all counterparties using Tableau.
Process Improvement and Documentation:
- Maintain documentation of the financial requirements and covenants applicable to all counterparties and update as necessary.
- Maintain documentation of policies and procedures related to the financial due diligence process.
- Recommend and assist in overseeing the implementation of process improvements related to financial due diligence.
Ad Hoc Projects and Assignments:
- Assist in other ad hoc projects and/or assignments as needed, including financial reporting, technical accounting, capital adequacy requirements, external audit, etc.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience: 1 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, financial reporting or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements.
- Proficiency in MS Office products with an emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
