We are seeking a Member Solutions Advisor- Collections for the Eastern Region Member Solution Department.
The Member Solutions Advisor is accountable for pro-actively assisting members with curing their default by assessing their need for assistance, educating the member on their options, and making a recommendation for the most appropriate course of action. The Member Solutions Advisor must approach each account with the goal of keeping the member in their home or helping them find a dignified alternative. In situations where a satisfactory arrangement cannot be made, the Member Solutions Advisor is accountable for initiating the foreclosure/repossession process. The Member Solutions Advisor must work in collaboration with the East Region Loss Mitigation Department to mitigate losses by identifying potential repossessions in advance to allow sufficient time for sales strategies to be determined. In addition, the Member Solutions Advisor is responsible for deficiency balance recovery efforts. The Member Solutions Advisor is accountable to promote a positive work culture by supporting and modeling the Credit Union’s core values.

Highlights:
- Manage time wisely to ensure early intervention with delinquent borrowers. A minimum of one contact attempt per week on accounts 15-30 days delinquent and a minimum of two contact attempts per week on accounts 30 days delinquent unless the account warrants less frequent follow-up.
- Take the actions required to establish contact and cure a delinquent account such as reviewing a delinquent member’s current credit report, reviewing the original loan file for additional contact information, references, landowner or Manufactured Home Park contact information.
- Effective use of the vendors used to make field visits in order to control cost. Track field visit results, to ensure timeliness of completion.
- Escalate a member's credit disputes or complaints to the Member Solutions Manager and assist with the preparation of the credit dispute response.
Experience:
Required
- Manufactured housing collections and/or credit experience
Preferred
- Asset disposal experience a plus
Education:
Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred
- College degree or course work in the business field, preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
Required
- Requires eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry
Skills & Knowledge:
Required
- Working knowledge of credit, collection, and bankruptcy laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sales oriented negotiating and decision-making skills
- PC skills to include word processing and spreadsheet applications
