Summary Of Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute training programs for security staff, including online, classroom, and field training.
- Supervise and mentor trainees, providing feedback and corrective actions to ensure high performance.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend additional or remedial training as needed.
- Serve as a role model and maintain security officer duties, ready to step into field operations when required.
- Coordinate with management to optimize departmental training strategies, addressing emerging training needs.
- Onboard Security Officers.
- Inspect trainees' uniforms and equipment to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Monitor and document trainees' progress, submitting reports to the appropriate security management.
- Review and maintain training records to ensure all certifications and records remain current.
- Participate in security operations as needed, including responding to incidents, reviewing complaints, and supporting special events.
- Contribute to departmental planning, performance optimization, and achievement of security objectives.
- The TO must continue to fulfill all security officer duties, stepping into the role as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in security administration, risk management, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- 4-5 years of relevant security experience.
- Proven training or teaching experience with the ability to assess and develop staff.
- Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Teams).
- Proficient in physical access control systems (e.g., Avigilon, Biostar, C-cure).
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Private Investigators License Board (PILB) work card and Nevada driver's license.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire and guide trainees.
- Capable of remaining calm and making decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with staff, management, and stakeholders.
