ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Sales via Outbound Calling
- Contact non-members and members using a needs-based sales approach to close additional products and services by phone and email.
- Educates members on products and services through evaluating member’s needs.
- Interview and input applications for Loans and Depository accounts.
- Work in partnership with operational departments to warm transfer service and processing functions.
- Maintains minimum standard for deposit, loans and ancillary products.
- Manage and develop their own diary, schedule call-backs, and future opportunities.
- Build long lasting relationships with members and potential members.
- Conducting market research to identify potential leads and sales strategy.
- Provide feedback to management on member inquiries and trends to improve sales strategies.
- Meet the minimum performance expectations as established for the position.
- Meet the current standards as established for the department in the completion of all assigned duties.
- Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with Office of Foreign Assets Control laws and regulations (OFAC).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations set forth by NCUA, CUNA and other government authorities.
- Participate in all training, including but not limited to on-site classes, off site classes, and web-based training in order to keep up to date on product knowledge and effective sales techniques.
- Able to work variable shifts within a 6 day a week schedule.
- Adheres to the credit union’s dress code policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of Sales experience required.
- 1 year experience lending preferred.
- Must be flexible and able to work with many interruptions, ability to self-motivate, work independently while adjusting priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, as well as good written and verbal communication skills.
