JOB SUMMARY:

Designs, develops, and tests custom software solutions for use at the credit union to streamline operations and facilitate new lines of business. Develop Robotic Process Automation (RPA) workflows and utilize other third party workflow providers to further streamline operations. Maintains and extends the capabilities of software developed by third parties for which the credit union has purchased the source code. Serves as a developer of applications utilizing our vendor’s API or web interfaces.

Essential Job Functions

• Establish, maintain, and evolve concepts in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for existing and new services for development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with business teams and other technical teams to identify and document requirements for software development, workflows, and integrations.
• Ensure clean, secure, and stable code compliant with applicable regulations (e.g., NCUA) and following a defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Create and maintain documentation associated with development initiatives.
• Design and develop workflows across the enterprise, including in SharePoint Online and document management solutions such as Hyland OnBase. Take workflow projects from gathering initial requirements to tool selection to development and implementation.
• Maintain a strong awareness of information security and principle of least privilege in custom software, workflows, and RPA.
• Develop custom integrations for software using APIs, database access, and other methods of interfacing with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
• Collaborate with and mentor teammates in all aspects of the position. Work closely with all teammates within the Strategic Systems group, including Data Analytics. Participate in peer reviews of code.
• Remain current on development tools and industry trends.
• Manage, track and document changes to code with approved source control tools.
• Assist with defining and documenting software engineering standards
• Assist with audits and examinations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional software development experience required. Experience in the financial sector preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Must possess the ability to communicate and work cooperatively with credit union management and staff.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, and an exceptional level of analytical skills.
• Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).

• RPA, Automation Anywhere preferred
• ASP/ASP.NET
• Databases: SQL Server, Azure SQL
• Entity Frameworks
• Web development tools to include: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript
• API Development
• SharePoint Online
• Code version control: Git, Azure DevOps Server
• Document management system workflow experience desired.
