SUPERVISOR: Regional Manager
SUPERVISES: All Residence Staff
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising, planning, developing, monitoring, and maintaining appropriate standards of care throughout all departments. This position is what we call “a universal employee” position, in which the Director is expected to participate in performing all duties needed to run the residence on a day-to-day basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Tasks
Has authority and responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing the operations of Credo Senior Living. Performs the selection, employment, development, control, and discharge of employees to meet the needs of the Company and the residents. Continuously reviews productivity and efficiency of staff and makes changes where needed.
Participates in the orientation of staff members, in-service programs, and medical staff evaluations. Assures all staff and residents have appropriate health screenings/physicals (as required by state law) and TB tests. Assures the nurse registry has been checked on all medical personnel PRIOR to hire.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing the delivery of health care services by continually monitoring the operation of each service area and making changes as needed. Documents and maintains records of all resident procedures, instructions, observations, and progress per documentation guidelines. Responsible for implementing all operational policies and procedures.
Assures the sound fiscal operation of the residence, including the timely, accurate, and comprehensive development of an annual operating and capital budget and its implementation. Negotiates professional contracts such as lawn care, pharmacy services, and food service. Assists in the strategic planning of both short-term and long-term goals.
Ensures that funds are collected and expended according to Company guidelines and to the best advantage of the Company and residents in a timely manner. Prepares and presents periodic reports as required by regulatory agencies and/or Company owners. Ensures that Quality Assurance Standards are met. Ensures that all notifications to state and local agencies occur as required by law regarding transfers, discharges, or any other regulation requiring such notifications.
Responsible for marketing Credo Senior Living locally and in the surrounding communities in a professional and positive manner.
Authorizes in writing a responsible employee to act on behalf of the Director in his/her absence.
OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains involvement in community, civic, and professional organizations. Responsible for achieving and maintaining full census for the facility.
Fosters a smoothly functioning, efficient operation through timely and effective resolution of grievances from residents, families, or staff.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful management experience in health care or similar field with thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations with an Operator, Manager, or Administrator license. Displays a personal commitment to the mission and values of the Company. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills. Above average interpersonal skills to work effectively with regulatory agencies, management, staff, residents, families, and visitors. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit and stand for extended period of time. Ability to communicate verbally with an excellent comprehension of the English language. Must have normal vision and hearing (after correction), normal field of vision, and normal depth perception. Ability to move about, including reaching, turning, twisting, and touching, with reasonable accommodation. Must be able to tolerate occasional loud noises.
