With over 150 employees, Physicians have been a mainstay in Southeastern NM since July 2008 and, during the preceding decade, they were Southeastern New Mexico Hematology and Oncology.
Clinic Hours For MRI Technologist
Clinic hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday:

About Area, You Will Find
Seeking skilled MRI Technologist with at least 1 to 3 years of experience
to join our Radiology Team. You will be responsible for providing clear images to Physicians through MRI scanning. The MRI technician's responsibilities include following Physicians' instructions, explaining the MRI procedure to patients, selecting software options and imaging parameters on the MRI machine, viewing images from the imaging session, and keeping records of reports.
Essential Functions Include, But Are Not Limited To
Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols.
Maintain proper quality control procedures.
Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment.
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment.
Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
Positioning patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
Must be able to work additional hours during the workweek when necessary (no weekends or
holidays).
Additional Responsibilities FOR MRI TECH
Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Maintain inventory of supplies.
Adhere to employer work/safety practices and policies.
Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam.
Work as a team member within the imaging department and all other departments.
Document work processes as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements And Qualifications
Associates degree (minimum).
Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists. (AART) and NM
State license.
Current BLS or ACLS certification.
3 to 5-years of experience in MRI.
Ability to properly position patients to provide quality imaging.
Ability to work independently.
Complete understanding of MRI applications.
Ability to operate equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff,
management, and peers.
Strong organizational communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
Attention to detail, mathematical skills, and technical skills

Clinic Hours For MRI Technologist

- Clinics closing at noon on Fridays allows staff and providers to use that time to complete any required trainings and meetings, or to use the time to complete administrative work.
- Most staff leave between 12:30 to 3:00 PM on Fridays.
- No shift work.
- No nights.
- No weekends.
- Clinics closed for six major holidays.
